Amongst my favourite Brazilian artists are
Antonio Carlos Jobim,
Joao Gilberto,
Astrud Gilberto,
Stan Getz and
Chico Buarque.
I have only been collecting Brasilian music for a few years.
The following CDs are my personal favourites in this collection.
|
The Girls from Ipanema
published by Verve records
Never mind the cover (I love it!), but this double album CD
set is an excellent is sampler of classic Bossa Nova.
If you were to listen to only one Bossa Nova CD then
this would be it.
Stan Getz, Antonio Carlos Jobim,
Astrud Gilberto,
Baden Powell, Bob Brookmeyer,
Luiz Bonfa and many others.
